SECRET YEEZY SEASON 10 SHOW OF KANYE

On May 1, Kanye "Ye" West held a low-key fashion presentation in Los Angeles to covertly debut his YEEZY SEASON 10 collection, which barely featured any new apparel or fashion items. Instead, attention was drawn to a group of skinhead models who were dressed simply in black leggings and skin-tight white T-shirts.

Late in April 2023, Ye stealthily started production on YEEZY SEASON 10 by holding a last-minute casting call at a warehouse in Los Angeles and casting models with shaved heads.

Although Ye was nowhere to be discovered, the spotlight was clearly on the fact that the presentation ever existed at all (after first checking on the show's casting, Ye reportedly spent the night in a car with his similarly secret wife, Bianca Censori).

The YEEZY SEASON 10 set was minimalistic. It was held in a rough-looking West Hollywood store that was reported to be the site of Ye's first-ever physical YEEZY retail store or at least a new YEEZY office. The setting was minimally furnished with rows of lightly covered models carrying candles, a music system, and some bare walls.

Ye's invitation for YEEZY SEASON 10 was posted through the typical Ye stan pages (Ye's go-to channel for communication these days), but it didn't specifically specify YEEZY SEASON 10; instead, it referred to the event as YZY FREE.

By the way, the "FREE" in "YZY FREE" stood for the skin-tight white T-shirts that were provided to participants without charge. They appeared as good as you would anticipate them to, which is to say: poorly.

The sock sneakers Ye has been wearing recently were also spotted at the performance, and they appeared to be about as stylish as you would expect soleless sneakers to be.

If anything, they have a real Margiela-meets-scuba-shoe vibe.

We would have anticipated that Ye would have displayed a more coordinated wardrobe given the recent skin-tight thermal-style ensembles that Ye's devoted fan pages have shared over the previous several weeks.

Even the catastrophic YEEZY SEASON 9 show, which was plagued with never-produced looks, contained a ton of "real" clothing.

Unless the adidas connection does resume as rumors suggested it may last year, expect this modest offering to go forward as Ye's YEEZY (or YZY) brand's future.

However, assuming adidas has long since disappeared, Ye will presumably be limited to these types of bizarre pop-up events that are only attended by his most ardent fans.

Future YEEZY SEASON events are doomed to become entertainment for Ye's cult and no one else without press releases, PR staff, and the widespread push that'd come from organic support (read: publications that'd give YEEZY publicity were Ye not a bigot).

Which, to be honest, is well-deserved in light of Ye's offensive anti-Semitic remarks from the previous year. You caused this upon yourself.
